Marc Hunter was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born on March 5, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. He was the lead singer of the band Dragon, which he formed in 1975 with his brother, Todd Hunter. Marc Hunter was known for his powerful and soulful voice, and his ability to write and perform songs that resonated with audiences. He was also known for his flamboyant stage presence and his outrageous costumes. Marc Hunter's career began in 1975 when he formed Dragon with his brother Todd. The band released their debut album, Universal Radio, in 1977 and went on to become one of the most successful bands in Australia. They released a total of nine albums, with their most successful being O Zambezi (1980) and Body and the Beat (1984). Marc Hunter's solo career began in 1985 with the release of his debut album, Marc Hunter. He released two more solo albums, Marc Hunter II (1987) and Marc Hunter III (1989). Marc Hunter was married to his wife, Joanne, from 1985 until his death in 1998. He had two children, a son, Marc Jr., and a daughter, Jessica. Marc Hunter died on July 17, 1998, at the age of 42, after a long battle with cancer. He was posthumously inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2008.
