Manuel L. Quiroga was a Spanish composer and music director. He composed music for over 100 films, including the classic Spanish films "La Violetera" (1958) and "El Último Cuplé" (1957). He also composed the music for the popular Spanish television series "Verano Azul" (1981). Quiroga was born in Seville, Spain, in 1899. He studied music at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and later at the Conservatorio de Música de Barcelona. He began his career as a composer in the early 1930s, writing music for films and television. Quiroga was a prolific composer, writing music for over 100 films and television series. He was also a music director, working on films such as "La Violetera" (1958) and "El Último Cuplé" (1957). He was awarded the National Prize for Music in Spain in 1965. Quiroga died in Madrid in 1985. He was 86 years old.
