Mahendra Kasippillai is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in two Tests in 1955. He was born on 21 September 1927 in Colombo, Western Province, British Ceylon. Kasippillai was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He made his first-class debut for Ceylon in the 1950-51 season, and went on to play for them until the 1956-57 season. He scored 1,845 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 24.45, with a highest score of 101 not out. He also took 33 wickets at an average of 33.45, with best figures of 4 for 28. Kasippillai made his Test debut against India in 1955, and played his second and final Test against Pakistan in the same year. He scored a total of 39 runs in his two Tests, with a highest score of 24. Kasippillai was also a successful businessman, and was the founder of the Mahendra Group of Companies. He passed away on 28 April 2019 at the age of 91.
