Lou Dobbs is an American television commentator, radio host, and author. He is the anchor of Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox Business Network. He was born on September 24, 1945, in Childress, Texas. He attended the University of Arizona and Harvard Business School. Dobbs began his career in broadcasting in the 1970s, working as a reporter and anchor for several local television stations. In 1979, he joined CNN, where he worked for nearly 30 years. During his time at CNN, he hosted the shows Moneyline and Lou Dobbs Tonight. In 2009, Dobbs left CNN and joined Fox Business Network, where he currently hosts Lou Dobbs Tonight. He is also the host of the nationally syndicated radio show The Lou Dobbs Show. Dobbs has written several books, including Space: The Next Business Frontier, Exporting America, and War on the Middle Class. As of 2021, Lou Dobbs's net worth is estimated to be roughly $50 million.
