Lino Banfi is an Italian actor and comedian who has appeared in over 100 films since 1960. He is best known for his roles in the films "La Grande Bouffe" (1973), "The School Teacher" (1975), and "The Godfather Part III" (1990). He has also appeared in television series such as "The Adventures of Pinocchio" (1972-1973) and "The Adventures of Tintin" (1992-1993). Banfi was born in Andria, Puglia, Italy, on 11 July 1936. He studied at the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica in Rome and made his film debut in 1960. He has since appeared in numerous films, television series, and stage productions. Banfi has won several awards for his work, including the Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "The School Teacher" (1975). He was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his role in "The Godfather Part III" (1990). Banfi is married to actress and singer Lina Sastri. They have two children, Francesco and Giulia.
