She remained with the show until its cancellation in 1986. During this time, she also appeared in films such as The Last American Hero (1973), The Long Riders (1980), and The Fall Guy (1981). In the 1990s, Wrather appeared in television shows such as Diagnosis: Murder, Baywatch, and The Nanny. She also appeared in the films The Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult (1994) and The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991). In recent years, Wrather has appeared in television shows such as NCIS, Castle, and The Middle. She also appeared in the films The Big Year (2011) and The Internship (2013).
