He has also written and directed several feature films, including "The Island" and "The Last King". Williams was born in Vejle, Denmark, and studied film at the National Film School of Denmark. He began his career as a writer and director for television in 2006, and has since written and directed several feature films. Williams has won several awards for his work, including the Danish Film Academy Award for Best Screenplay for "The Island" in 2011, and the Danish Film Academy Award for Best Director for "The Last King" in 2016.
