Kurt Hamrin is a Swedish actor who has appeared in numerous films and television shows. He is best known for his roles in the films The Brothers Lionheart (1977), The Emigrants (1971), and The New Land (1972). He has also appeared in the television series The Bridge (2011-2012) and The Sandhamn Murders (2013-2016). Hamrin was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on 19 November 1934. He began his acting career in the 1950s, appearing in several Swedish films. He made his international debut in the 1971 film The Emigrants, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He went on to appear in several other films, including The Brothers Lionheart (1977), The New Land (1972), and The Emigrants II: The Journey (1984). Hamrin has also appeared in numerous television series, including The Bridge (2011-2012) and The Sandhamn Murders (2013-2016). He has also appeared in several Swedish television series, including The Inspector and the Sea (2005-2006) and The Inspector and the Sea II (2007-2008). Hamrin is married to actress and singer Lena Nyman. They have two children.
