He played for Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i, Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma and Chunnam Dragons in South Korea, and Kyoto Purple Sanga in Japan. He was a participant at 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship in Malaysia, 2000 Summer Olympics in Australia and 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States.
