Kevin Cohee is an American business executive and entrepreneur. He is the founder and chairman of OneUnited Bank, the largest Black-owned bank in the United States. He is also the founder and chairman of Boston Community Capital, a non-profit community development financial institution. Cohee was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and grew up in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a bachelor's degree in economics. He then attended Harvard Business School, where he earned an MBA. Cohee began his career in banking in 1982, when he joined the Bank of America. He then moved to the Bank of Boston, where he served as a vice president and senior loan officer. In 1988, he founded OneUnited Bank, which has since become the largest Black-owned bank in the United States. In addition to his work at OneUnited Bank, Cohee is also the founder and chairman of Boston Community Capital, a non-profit community development financial institution. He is also a board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the National Bankers Association, and the National Community Reinvestment Coalition.
