Kenneth Atchity is an American producer, actor, manager, and author. He is best known for producing films such as The Whole Ten Yards, The Whole Nine Yards, and The Whole Shebang. He is also the founder of Atchity Entertainment International, a production and management company. Atchity was born in 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Tulane University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Arts degree in Comparative Literature. He then attended the University of Southern California, where he earned a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature. Atchity began his career as a professor of Comparative Literature at the University of California, Los Angeles. He then moved into the entertainment industry, working as a literary agent and manager. He founded Atchity Entertainment International in 1988, and has since produced numerous films and television shows. Atchity is also an author, having written several books on the entertainment industry. He is the author of The Time-Out Solution: A Parent's Guide to Positive Discipline, and co-author of The Hollywood Standard: The Complete and Authoritative Guide to Script Format and Style. Atchity is married to actress and producer, Mary Jo Atchity. They have two children.
