Ken Niimura is a Spanish cartoonist and comics artist. He is best known for his work on the manga series I Kill Giants, which was adapted into a feature film in 2018. He has also worked on several other comics, including the Eisner Award-winning series Umimachi Diary and the critically acclaimed series Henshin. Niimura was born in Madrid, Spain, on 19 October 1981. He studied at the Escuela de Arte de Madrid and the Escuela de Arte de Barcelona. He began his career as a cartoonist in 2003, working on various projects for Spanish magazines and newspapers. In 2008, Niimura moved to Tokyo, Japan, where he began working on manga. His first manga series, I Kill Giants, was published in 2009 and was adapted into a feature film in 2018. He has since worked on several other manga series, including Umimachi Diary, which won the Eisner Award for Best U.S. Edition of International Material in 2016, and Henshin, which was nominated for the Eisner Award for Best U.S. Edition of International Material in 2017. Niimura has also worked on several other comics projects, including the webcomic series The End of the F***ing World, which was adapted into a television series in 2017.
