Justin Gevaert is a Belgian rower who was born on 19 May, 1980 in Belgium. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a bronze medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and a silver medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Gevaert began rowing in 1997 and competed in his first international event in 2001. He has since gone on to win numerous medals at the World Rowing Championships, European Rowing Championships, and World Cup events. Gevaert is 1.90 m (6 ft 3 in) tall and weighs 85 kg (187 lb). He is married to fellow rower Els Van Biesen and they have two children. Gevaert is currently the head coach of the Belgian national rowing team. He is also a member of the Royal Belgian Rowing Federation.
