Jorge Sepúlveda was a Spanish composer and conductor who was active in the film industry from the 1940s to the 1970s. He composed the music for over 100 films, including the classic Spanish films "El Último Cuplé" (1957) and "La Violetera" (1958). He also composed the music for the popular television series "Verano Azul" (1981). Sepúlveda was born in Valencia in 1917. He studied music at the Conservatorio de Valencia and later at the Real Conservatorio de Madrid. He began his career as a conductor in the 1940s, and soon began composing music for films. He was a prolific composer, writing music for over 100 films. Sepúlveda was also a conductor for the Spanish National Orchestra and the Madrid Symphony Orchestra. He was awarded the Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts in 1975. He died in Madrid in 1998.
