The group released their debut album, Chain, in 1990, and their follow-up, Moon in Scorpio, in 1992. In 1991, Jamison released her debut solo album, Joniece Jamison. The album featured the singles "I'm Not Dreamin'" and "I'm Not the Same Girl". She followed up with her second solo album, Love's Taken Over, in 1994. Jamison has continued to perform and record with The Family Stand, and has also collaborated with other artists, including Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, and Meshell Ndegeocello.
