Joan Bosch is a Spanish film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his work in the Spanish film industry, particularly his collaborations with Luis García Berlanga and Carlos Saura. Bosch was born in Valls, Tarragona, on 31 May 1925. He studied at the Escuela Oficial de Cinematografía in Madrid, and began his career as a film editor in the 1950s. He worked on several films with Luis García Berlanga, including Bienvenido, Mister Marshall (1953) and El Verdugo (1963). In the 1960s, Bosch began directing his own films, including El Juego de la Oca (1966), El Cochecito (1960), and El Cochecito de la Muerte (1962). He also collaborated with Carlos Saura on several films, including La Caza (1966), Peppermint Frappé (1967), and Elisa, vida mía (1977). Bosch has won several awards for his work, including the Goya Award for Best Director for Elisa, vida mía (1977). He was also nominated for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for El Cochecito (1960). As of 2021, Joan Bosch's net worth is estimated to be roughly $1 million.
