Jigme Wangchuk is a Bhutanese politician who currently serves as the Prime Minister of Bhutan. He was born on 4 March, 1980 in Bhutanese. He is the son of Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the fourth Dragon King of Bhutan. Jigme Wangchuk studied at the University of Oxford, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Development Studies at the London School of Economics. Jigme Wangchuk has been involved in politics since his early twenties. He was appointed as the Minister of Home and Cultural Affairs in 2006, and later served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, he was appointed as the Prime Minister of Bhutan. Jigme Wangchuk is married to Jetsun Pema, the daughter of the fourth Dragon King of Bhutan. The couple has two children.
