Jez Alborough is an English author and illustrator of children's books. He is best known for his series of books about a character called "Edwin the Duck". He has written and illustrated over 50 books, which have been translated into over 20 languages. Alborough was born in Kingston upon Thames, England, and studied at Kingston College of Art. He began his career as a freelance illustrator, working for magazines and advertising agencies. In 1985, he wrote and illustrated his first book, "Where's My Teddy?". This book was an instant success and was followed by a series of books about a character called "Edwin the Duck". Alborough has won numerous awards for his work, including the Smarties Prize, the Kurt Maschler Award, and the Children's Book Award. He has also been shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Alborough currently lives in London with his wife and two children. He continues to write and illustrate books for children.
