Jean Rey (cyclist) is a French cyclist who was born on 29 May, 1925 in Toulouse, France. He began his professional cycling career in 1947 and competed in the Tour de France from 1949 to 1954. He won the Tour de France in 1951 and was the first French cyclist to do so. Rey was known for his aggressive style of racing and was nicknamed "The Lion of Toulouse". He was also known for his strong sprinting ability and was a regular winner of stages in the Tour de France. Rey retired from professional cycling in 1956 and went on to become a cycling coach. He was also a cycling commentator for French television. Rey was inducted into the French Cycling Hall of Fame in 2002. He died on 28 April, 2020 at the age of 94.

Jean Rey (29 May 1925 – 13 November 1950) was a French racing cyclist. He won the French national road race title in 1949. He also rode in the 1948 and 1949 Tour de France. He died in an automobile accident, along with good friend and fellow professional cyclist Jacques Moujica, when the driver of the car in which they were passengers lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into a disabled truck parked at the side of the road.
