Jean-Chrysostome Raharison is a Malagasy politician who has been serving as the Prime Minister of Madagascar since April 2019. He is a member of the National Assembly of Madagascar, representing the Antananarivo II constituency since 2007. Raharison was born on 23 August 1979 in Antananarivo, Madagascar. He studied at the University of Antananarivo, where he obtained a degree in economics. He then went on to pursue a master's degree in public administration at the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. Raharison began his political career in 2007, when he was elected to the National Assembly of Madagascar. He was re-elected in 2013 and 2018. In April 2019, he was appointed Prime Minister of Madagascar by President Andry Rajoelina. Raharison is married and has two children. He is a devout Catholic and speaks French, English, and Malagasy.
