Bayon began his career as a composer in the early 2000s, working on a number of short films and television projects. In 2007, he composed the score for the critically acclaimed horror film The Orphanage, which earned him a Goya Award nomination for Best Original Score. He went on to compose the score for the 2012 disaster drama The Impossible, which earned him a Goya Award for Best Original Score. Bayon has also composed music for a number of television series, including the Spanish drama series Velvet (2014-2016) and the Netflix series Elite (2018-present).
