Jane Baxter was born in Bremen, Germany, on 9 September 1909. She was the daughter of a British diplomat and a German mother. She began her career as a stage actress in the 1920s, appearing in plays in London and on Broadway. She made her film debut in 1932, appearing in the British film "The Man Who Knew Too Much". She went on to appear in a number of British films, including "The Ghost Train" (1941) and "The Wicked Lady" (1945). In the 1950s, Baxter moved to Hollywood, where she appeared in a number of films, including "The Ten Commandments" (1956) and "The Big Country" (1958). She also appeared in television series, such as "The Virginian" (1962-1963) and "The High Chaparral" (1967-1971). Baxter was married twice, first to actor John Loder and then to actor Robert Taylor. She had two children with Loder and one with Taylor. She died in London on 15 April, 2001, at the age of 91. At the time of her death, Jane Baxter had an estimated net worth of $2 million. She earned her wealth through her successful career as an actress. She appeared in over 50 films and television series during her career.
