2019

Manawer performed on Sunday 30 June 2019 at the Glastonbury Festival on the Left Field.

For the opening performance of the 2019 Soccer Aid Football Match, Manawer wrote and performed his poem, Game of Hearts to help raise donations for UNICEF.

Manawer had also starred in a Lynx advert featuring Anthony Joshua, Jesse Lingard, Tinie Tempah, Calfreezy & Mo Gilligan in April 2019.

In June 2019, Manawer received his Doctorate of Arts from one of the UK’s leading modern universities, Oxford Brookes University. The award was presented by the university’s Board of Governors. Manawer joined the faculty of English languages PHD students as he accepted his award.

Manawer was drafted in by Bryan Kirkwood an Executive Producer for Hollyoaks for which a poem was produced to aid in the character Lily McQueen's death as a result of self harm resulting in sepsis. The final episodes were aired in April 2019.

As the winner of the competition, Manawer will be travelling into space with XCOR Aerospace’s Lynx® Spacecraft.

Manawer joined a list of King’s Fellows in July 2018 for his work within Mental Health. Manawer joined the faculty of social science and public policy students as he accepted the award becoming Kings College’s youngest fellow.

On Wednesday 10 October 2018, Prime Minister Theresa May awarded Manawer the 'Points of Light Award' on World Mental Health Day in recognition of his efforts in challenging the stigma of mental health on a global scale.

2017

Hussain Manawer is a British poet, writer and actor from Ilford, Essex. In 2017, Manawer set the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Mental Health Lesson in partnership with Kings College London and Hackney Empire.

On 21 March 2017, Manawer alongside Professor Dame Til Wykes of King's College London taught a mental health awareness lesson at the Hackney Empire, London, UK. The total turnout was at 538 individuals made up from 14 local schools for which the lesson lasted 30 minutes.
