He has also appeared in television series such as "Los Simuladores" (2002-2003) and "Los Únicos" (2011-2012). Tortonese began his career in theater in the early 1980s, and made his film debut in the 1985 film "La Noche de los Lápices". He has since appeared in over 30 films and television series. He has also written and directed several short films. Tortonese has won several awards for his work, including the Silver Condor Award for Best Actor for his performance in "The Motorcycle Diaries" (2004). He has also been nominated for several other awards, including the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "The Secret in Their Eyes" (2009).
