Helen Aberson was an American writer and illustrator best known for her work on the children's book, "Dumbo," which was later adapted into an animated film by Walt Disney. She was born in Syracuse, New York, and attended Syracuse University. She wrote and illustrated several books for children, including "The Little Red Hen," "The Three Little Pigs," and "The Ugly Duckling." She also wrote and illustrated a number of books for adults, including "The Story of the Bible" and "The Story of the Jews." In 1941, Aberson wrote the story for "Dumbo," which was later adapted into an animated film by Walt Disney. The film was a huge success and won an Academy Award for Best Original Score. Aberson was credited as the story's author in the film's credits. Aberson died in New York City in 1985. She was 78 years old.
