She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and made her stage debut in 1929. Heather Angel began her film career in 1932 with a small role in the British film The W Plan. She went on to appear in a number of British films, including The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934), The 39 Steps (1935), and The Lady Vanishes (1938). She also appeared in a number of Hollywood films, including The Invisible Man (1933), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939). Heather Angel was married twice, first to actor John Loder from 1936 to 1940, and then to actor Robert Douglas from 1941 to his death in 1999. She had two children with Loder, a son and a daughter.
