Graham Teasdale is a British neurologist and neurosurgeon who is best known for his work on the Glasgow Coma Scale, which is used to measure the level of consciousness in patients with head injuries. He was born on 26 June 1955 in Glasgow, Scotland. Teasdale studied medicine at the University of Glasgow, graduating in 1979. He then went on to specialize in neurology and neurosurgery, completing his training at the University of Edinburgh in 1985. Teasdale has held a number of prestigious positions in the medical field, including Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Glasgow, and Director of the Institute of Neurological Sciences at the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. Teasdale has been awarded numerous honors for his work, including the CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2002, and the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 2008. Teasdale is married to Dr. Margaret Teasdale, and they have two children. He is 65 years old.

But the move to the Swans in 1975 saw him establish himself as a senior player.
