She then went on to study composition at the University of Tehran, graduating in 1975. Pashayi has composed music for over 30 films, including The Color of Paradise (1999), The Wind Will Carry Us (1999), and The Circle (2000). She has also composed music for television series, including The House of the Sun (1999) and The House of the Moon (2000).
