Ekeh began his career in Nigeria, playing for the Nigerian Premier League side Julius Berger. He then moved to Sweden in 2002, joining the Swedish club IFK Norrköping. He has since become a regular starter for the club, making over 200 appearances for the club. Ekeh has also represented the Nigerian national team, making his debut in 2004.
