French Hill is an American politician and businessman who has served as the U.S. Representative for Arkansas's 2nd congressional district since 2015. He is a member of the Republican Party. Hill was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1975. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Vanderbilt University in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1983. Hill worked in the banking industry for over 30 years, including as president and CEO of Delta Trust & Banking Corporation. He was also a member of the Little Rock Port Authority and the Little Rock Airport Commission. In 2014, Hill ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in Arkansas's 2nd congressional district. He won the Republican primary and defeated Democratic incumbent Patrick Henry Hays in the general election. He was re-elected in 2016, 2018, and 2020.
