Freddy Jensen is a former gymnast from Greenland. He was born on 28 January, 1926 in Nuuk, Greenland. He is best known for his achievements in the sport of gymnastics, having won several medals at the Olympic Games and World Championships. Jensen began his career in gymnastics at the age of 15, when he joined the local gymnastics club in Nuuk. He quickly rose to prominence in the sport, winning several medals at the national level. In 1952, he competed in the Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland, where he won a bronze medal in the men's team all-around event. He also competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia, where he won a silver medal in the men's team all-around event. In addition to his Olympic success, Jensen also won several medals at the World Championships. He won a gold medal in the men's team all-around event at the 1954 World Championships in Rome, Italy, and a bronze medal in the men's team all-around event at the 1958 World Championships in Moscow, Russia. Jensen retired from competitive gymnastics in 1960, but he continued to be involved in the sport as a coach and judge. He was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2002.
