Evan Cheverie is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the ECHL's Reading Royals. He was born on May 6, 1980 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Cheverie played four seasons of junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Halifax Mooseheads and the Moncton Wildcats. He was drafted by the Florida Panthers in the sixth round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Cheverie has played professionally in the American Hockey League (AHL), the ECHL, the Central Hockey League (CHL), and the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH). He has also played in the United Kingdom's Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) with the Belfast Giants. Cheverie has represented Canada at the World Junior Championships in 1999 and 2000.
