He studied at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, where he graduated with a degree in Audiovisual Communication. Ernesto Sevilla began his career as a screenwriter in 2003, writing for the television series Los hombres de Paco. He then went on to write for the television series El barco and El internado. In 2006, he co-created the television series La que se avecina, which he wrote for until 2013. Ernesto Sevilla has also written for the films El barco: La vuelta al mundo en 80 días (2008), El internado: Las Cumbres (2009), and El barco: El misterio del Roque (2011).
