Seveali'i began his professional rugby career in 1998, playing for the Wellington Lions in the National Provincial Championship. He then moved to the Northampton Saints in England, where he played for three seasons. In 2002, he was selected for the New Zealand All Blacks, and he went on to play in the 2003 Rugby World Cup. In 2004, Seveali'i returned to New Zealand and joined the Auckland Blues, where he played for two seasons. He then moved to the Crusaders, where he played for two seasons. In 2008, he returned to England to play for the London Irish, and he played for them until his retirement in 2011. Seveali'i has also represented Samoa in international rugby, and he was part of the team that won the Pacific Nations Cup in 2005. Seveali'i played for Bath during the 2002–03 English rugby season. He made his Heineken Cup debut on 13 April 2003, scoring twice against the Saracens. After Bath he spent the following two seasons with Welsh club, the Ospreys. He signed with the Sale Sharks for the 2005–06 English rugby season. He played at centre for the 2005–06 season with Sale, and won the Guinness Premiership with them that season. He has since has moved to the Guinness Premiership side London Irish
