Edwaard Liang is a Taiwanese-American actor, dancer, and choreographer. He is best known for his work with the New York City Ballet, where he has been a principal dancer since 2002. He has also choreographed works for the company, including the critically acclaimed "Murder Ballades" in 2009. Liang was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and began his dance training at the age of five. He trained at the National Taiwan Academy of Arts and the Royal Ballet School in London. He joined the New York City Ballet in 1995 and was promoted to principal dancer in 2002.
