Dontarrious Thomas is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He also played for the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Buffalo Bills. Thomas attended Perry High School in Perry, Georgia, where he was a two-time All-State selection and a two-time All-Region selection. He was also named the Region Player of the Year in 1999. Thomas played college football at Auburn University, where he was a two-time All-SEC selection and a two-time All-American selection. He was also named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2003. Thomas was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played for the Vikings for four seasons before signing with the San Francisco 49ers in 2008. He played for the 49ers for two seasons before signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010. He played for the Seahawks for two seasons before signing with the Buffalo Bills in 2012. He played for the Bills for one season before retiring in 2013. Thomas finished his NFL career with 545 tackles, 11.5 sacks, four interceptions, and four forced fumbles.
