Dominic Clapp is a former English cricketer who played for the England Under-19s and the Surrey County Cricket Club. He was born on 25 May 1980 in English, England. Clapp was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He made his first-class debut for Surrey against Oxford University in 2001. He played for Surrey until 2004, making a total of 24 first-class appearances, scoring 645 runs at an average of 22.41, with a highest score of 79. He also took 24 wickets at an average of 43.58, with best figures of 4/50. Clapp also represented the England Under-19s in the 2000-01 Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka. He played in all six of England's matches, scoring 97 runs at an average of 16.16, with a highest score of 44. He also took 5 wickets at an average of 33.20, with best figures of 2/25. Clapp retired from cricket in 2004 and is now a cricket coach. He is currently the head coach of the Surrey Cricket Academy. He is also the head coach of the England Under-19s.

Clapp made several appearances for Hampshire in the second team between 2000 and 2003. In 2004 he attempted to make a comeback, playing for Kent Second XI, but playing time remained limited and he has not played first-class cricket since.
Having played in the Second XI Championship for Sussex since 1999, and attempting to make his way into the first team, Clapp made his name as a sturdy opening batsman along with teammate Wasim Khan. His form in the competition remained strong throughout his five years at the Second XI level.
