David Staller is an American theatre director and actor. He was born on November 16, 1955 in Glencoe, Illinois, United States. He is 65 years old as of 2021. Staller is the founder and artistic director of the award-winning Off-Broadway company Project Shaw, which produces every play by George Bernard Shaw. He is also the artistic director of Gingold Theatrical Group, which produces the annual Shaw New York Festival. Staller has directed over 100 productions in New York City, including the world premieres of plays by A.R. Gurney, Terrence McNally, and John Guare. He has also directed productions at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Berkshire Theatre Festival, the Irish Repertory Theatre, and the Mint Theatre. Staller has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway and regional productions, including the world premiere of Terrence McNally's Some Men at the Second Stage Theatre. He has also appeared in the films The Producers, The Stepford Wives, and The Savages. Staller has been nominated for two Drama Desk Awards and two Lucille Lortel Awards. He has also been honored with the Drama League's Special Recognition Award and the Off-Broadway Alliance's Special Achievement Award.

Staller has directed six off-Broadway play by George Bernard Shaw for Gingold Theatrical Group: Caesar and Cleopatra (2019), Heartbreak House (2018), Widowers' Houses (2016), Major Barbara (2014), You Can Never Tell (2013) and Man and Superman (2012).
