David L. Lander is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He is best known for his role as Andrew "Squiggy" Squiggman on the sitcom Laverne & Shirley. He has also appeared in films such as The Blues Brothers, The Wrong Guys, and Radioland Murders. Lander was born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 22, 1947. He attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York City and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Lander began his career as a stand-up comedian in the 1970s. He then went on to appear in several films, including The Blues Brothers, The Wrong Guys, and Radioland Murders. In 1976, he was cast as Andrew "Squiggy" Squiggman on the sitcom Laverne & Shirley. He played the role for eight seasons, from 1976 to 1983. In addition to his acting career, Lander has also written several books, including Squiggy's Life in the Army, Squiggy's Guide to Life, and Squiggy's Big Book of Fun. As of 2021, David L.
