Darwin Young is a 96-year-old American politician who served as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from 1972 to 1976. He was born on October 20, 1924 in Shelley, Idaho. Young attended the University of Idaho, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics. He then went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II. After the war, he returned to Idaho and worked as a farmer and rancher. In 1972, Young was elected to the Idaho House of Representatives, where he served until 1976. During his time in office, he was a strong advocate for agricultural interests and rural development. He also served on the Idaho State Board of Education from 1977 to 1981. Young is a member of the Idaho Farm Bureau and the Idaho Cattlemen's Association. He is also a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Young is married to his wife, Mary, and they have two children. He currently resides in Shelley, Idaho.
