Daphne Koster is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who currently serves as the head coach of the Netherlands women's national team. She is the first female head coach of the team. Koster began her career as a player in the Dutch women's league, playing for clubs such as ADO Den Haag, FC Utrecht, and AZ Alkmaar. She was part of the Dutch team that won the UEFA Women's Euro 2009. Koster retired from playing in 2011 and began her coaching career with the Dutch women's national team. She was appointed head coach in 2017 and led the team to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, where they finished in fourth place. Koster has also served as a coach for the Dutch women's under-19 team and the Dutch women's under-17 team. She was also the head coach of the Dutch women's team at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Koster is married to former Dutch international footballer, John Heitinga. They have two children together.
