Danny Flynn is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player. He was born on 5 September, 1957 in Dartmouth, Canada. He is currently 66 years old. Flynn played junior hockey with the Dartmouth Subways of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League. He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft, but never played in the NHL. He played professionally in the American Hockey League and Central Hockey League. Flynn began his coaching career in the mid-1980s, coaching the Dartmouth Subways and the Halifax Citadels of the AHL. He was an assistant coach with the New York Islanders from 1989 to 1993. He was the head coach of the Moncton Hawks of the AHL from 1993 to 1995. Flynn was the head coach of the Canadian National Team from 1995 to 1998. He was an assistant coach with the Ottawa Senators from 1998 to 2000. He was the head coach of the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL from 2000 to 2003. He was an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2003 to 2006. Flynn was the head coach of the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League from 2006 to 2011. He was an assistant coach with the New York Islanders from 2011 to 2014. He was the head coach of the Oshawa Generals of the OHL from 2014 to 2018. Flynn is currently the head coach of the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL. He has also served as a scout for the Montreal Canadiens. Flynn has not disclosed any information about his personal life, including his dating/affairs, family, and net worth.
