Craig Gilbert was born in the United States on August 13, 1925. He is a former American handball player who competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the United States team which won the silver medal in the team event. Gilbert was a member of the United States Handball Association (USHA) Hall of Fame. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1984. Gilbert was a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He owned and operated a number of businesses, including a restaurant, a bowling alley, and a sporting goods store. Gilbert was married to his wife, Mary, for over 60 years. They had two children, a son and a daughter. Gilbert passed away on April 8, 2021, at the age of 95. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his passion for handball and his dedication to his family.
