Christopher Pickett was a professional cricketer who played for Buckinghamshire County Cricket Club from 1948 to 1959. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He scored 1,945 runs in his career, with a highest score of 97. He also took 39 wickets with a best bowling of 4/25. Pickett was born in Hedgerley, Buckinghamshire, England on 26 August 1926. He was educated at Eton College and then went on to study at Oxford University. Pickett was a member of the Buckinghamshire County Cricket Club from 1948 to 1959. He was a regular member of the team and was known for his consistent batting and bowling. He was also a member of the MCC touring team to India in 1951-52. Pickett retired from cricket in 1959 and went on to become a successful businessman. He was the chairman of the Pickett Group, a company that specialised in the manufacture of industrial and agricultural machinery. He was also a director of the British Sugar Corporation. Pickett was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in 1975 for his services to industry. He died on 28 April 2021 at the age of 97.
