Cas Haley is an American singer/songwriter who has released two studio albums, two EPs, and a live album. He is best known for his appearance on the second season of America's Got Talent, where he finished in second place. Haley was born in Paris, Texas, and began playing guitar at the age of 12. He attended the University of North Texas, where he studied jazz guitar. After college, he moved to Austin, Texas, and began performing in local clubs. In 2007, Haley auditioned for the second season of America's Got Talent, where he performed a reggae-influenced version of the Led Zeppelin song "Dazed and Confused". He made it to the finals, where he finished in second place. In 2008, Haley released his debut album, Connection, which featured a mix of reggae, folk, and rock. The album was well-received, and he followed it up with a live album, Live at the Kessler, in 2009. In 2011, Haley released his second studio album, The Calling, which featured a more acoustic-based sound. He has since released two EPs, and continues to tour and perform.
