He has also directed episodes of the series The Americans, The Leftovers, and The Path. Kane was born in Bloomington, Illinois, and attended the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. He began his career as a production assistant on the television series The X-Files. He then went on to work as a production assistant on the series The West Wing and as a production coordinator on the series 24. Kane has since gone on to produce and direct episodes of several television series, including The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, The Son, The Americans, The Leftovers, and The Path. He has also directed the feature films The Last Witch Hunter and The Possession of Hannah Grace. Kane is currently married to actress and producer Sarah Wayne Callies. They have two children together.
