Ben McDaniels is an American football coach who currently serves as the offensive coordinator for the University of Michigan. He was born on June 6, 1980 in American. McDaniels attended Canton McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio, where he was a three-year letterman in football and basketball. He then attended the University of Akron, where he was a four-year letterman in football and earned a degree in business administration. McDaniels began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Akron in 2003. He then served as the wide receivers coach at the University of Minnesota from 2006 to 2008. From 2009 to 2011, he was the quarterbacks coach at the University of Colorado. In 2012, he was hired as the offensive coordinator at the University of Washington. In 2014, McDaniels was hired as the offensive coordinator at the University of Michigan. He has been in this position since then. McDaniels is married and has two children. 2018

McDaniels returned to college football in 2018, joining the Michigan staff as an offensive analyst on the staff of head coach Jim Harbaugh. On December 3, 2018, McDaniels was named wide receivers coach for Michigan's game against Florida in the 2018 Peach Bowl. McDaniels took over the duties from Jim McElwain, who had recently assumed the head coaching position at Central Michigan. On February 5, 2019, McDaniels was named Michigan's quarterbacks coach for the 2019 season.

2011
