Bart Aernouts is a Belgian professional cyclist who currently rides for the UCI ProTeam Alpecin-Fenix. He was born on 5 June 1984 in Merksem, Antwerp, Belgium. Aernouts began his professional career in 2006 with the Belgian team Davitamon-Lotto. He has since ridden for the Dutch team Rabobank, the Belgian team Sunweb-Projob, and the Belgian team Telenet-Fidea. Aernouts has had success in both road and cyclo-cross racing. He won the Belgian National Cyclo-Cross Championships in 2008 and 2009, and the Belgian National Road Race Championships in 2011. He has also had success in international races, winning the Tour of Belgium in 2011 and the Tour of Flanders in 2012. Aernouts is married to fellow cyclist Loes Sels, and they have two children. He is currently 39 years old.
