Timeline

1966

Babu Singh Kushwaha (Born 7 May 1966) is an Indian politician in Uttar Pradesh. He was one of Mayawati's most trusted "backroom boys", and a senior member of the UP cabinet. On 7 April 2011, he was forced to resign after being implicated in the murder of two chief medical officers, BP Singh and VK Arya. Both were shot dead by two assassins on motorcycles, in central Lucknow, in broad daylight. The same gun had been used in both cases. It was alleged that their honesty was coming in the way of a political mafia who were skimming off large sums from the health services.
