Awang Adek Hussin is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for the constituency of Pasir Mas since 2008. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and is currently the Deputy Minister of Rural Development. Hussin was born in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, Malaysia on 18 May 1956. He received his early education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Pasir Mas and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pasir Mas. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya. Hussin began his political career in 1982 when he was elected as a member of the Pasir Mas Municipal Council. He was then elected as the Member of Parliament for Pasir Mas in 2008 and has been re-elected in the subsequent elections. He was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Rural Development in 2018. Hussin is married to Noraini binti Ismail and they have four children. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing badminton.
